Frequently asked questions

Does AutoTouch need root access?

No. AutoTouch uses standard Android Accessibility and overlay permissions, so root access is not required.

What does the Accessibility Service do?

It dispatches only the taps, swipes, and drag gestures that you configure and start. AutoTouch does not use the service to read screen text or inspect content in other apps.

How do I stop a run?

Stop it from the main AutoTouch app, the visible floating overlay, or the foreground-service notification. A run timer can also stop automation at the duration you set.

What stays on my device?

Saved points, routines, scripts, timers, and settings stay on your device unless you explicitly export a JSON file. AutoTouch does not provide user accounts or cloud sync.

What does AutoTouch Pro include?

AutoTouch Pro is a one-time USD 2.99 purchase that removes banner ads. The purchase can be restored through the Google Play account that bought it.

Will AutoTouch work in every app?

No app can promise that. Android, target-app restrictions, system gestures, overlays, and battery settings can affect gesture dispatch.

How do I report a problem?
